Belle De Jour (1969)

Catherine Denuve in a story of sexual self discovery and coming of age was always going to be a good watch and finally seeing a Luis Brunuel film doesn't hurt either.
I knew very little about the film before hand except that it was much lauded.

I watched Belle De Jour (1969) on Blu-ray via LoveFilm.
My 2011 in Movies will return with Sucker Punch (2011)...

Here's the deal.

I'm going to watch a new movie every day of 2011 and review them.

The rules are:-

*It has to be something I've never seen before.

*I won't be able to watch a movie/update every day but i'll have a review for every day of 2011

I thought there would be more rules.

Anyway, i realised a month ago that despite not watching a film every-single-day, i do watch on average watch a film a day.

And a film has to be pretty awesome for me to rewatch. Not a big rewatcher. So as part of a New Year's resolution, i'm gonna start this blog and start writing everyday.

There won't be a specific medium, i'll watch these films- LoveFilm Player or DVD or Film4 are as likely as a cinema visit. I'd say it'll be 60% new releases to 40% older movies.

Admittedly, i'm not going to be forcing myself to watch anything i have no interest in but I will be trying to find films in genres or backgrounds that are new to me...
